Or just do anything more than grinding the boards.
Our forwards are so poor. Outside of Aho and Necas I'm not really sure theres anyone out there right now who is a top 6 player this year. Turbo has been in the past, but he's just not there this year. Jarvis isnt yet. Svech and Patches maybe but they are done til the calendar flips.
Really need some serious reworking up front this summer, especially with Svech missing major time next year, and unlikely to be 100% until the following season.

You know, it really doesn't matter of Freddie lets in a few softies per game, if this team (outside of the defense) can't figure out how to score 2+ f***ing goals against a f***ing AHL goalie or 1-2 f***ing goals against an NHL goalie we're never going anywhere.

It was bang bang, but his glove was in position it should have been as the shot was coming. He didn't have time to get the glove up becuase it was a great shot and he didn't have time to process the rise of the shot, not because Necas hit it.
Like I said, I get the call, but by the time his body reached where it needed to be laterally his glove was in the right position. When a goalie shifts over in the butterfly, they keep their glove in that neutral position, which has the best odds of stopping a shot they can't see well, and only raise or lower it to match the shot after they're at the right angle and can see the shot properly. By the time Saros had the angle, his glove had recovered and was in the neutral position he intended it to be at while getting over. He wouldn't have had time to get it up with or without the contact. Looking at how he was moving over technically, which was by the book and very controlled, he recovered from the bump to get his glove exactly where he wanted it at that point in his slide. The contact didn't prevent him from making the save.

I hate Shanahan, but he's right, we float around the offensive zone too much. Don't have anyone ever park their ass in front of the net to make a goalie uncomfortable and as such we allow them to get settled in and get hot against us.

Yeah, I've been on this for a while now. We need guys to make the goalie uncomfortable. When we beat the rangers, it was because Stepan accidentally ran into Shesty and got him off his game. Do that accidentally on purpose and you get goalies off their game, and that's how you score dirty goals. Swallow your pride and play a little more like the Bruins.

I thought I knew all the rules of hockey but that’s a new one for me.
I assumed offsides was always on the touch. Would never have occurred to me that that goal wouldn’t have counted. Now I know.
