That was one of the worst retaliation calls I've seen in a while. Jordan might as well have knocked Nystrom's teeth out if he was going to get called for poking him after getting hacked on the inside of the glove. That's one of the biggest ***** moves you can make IMO outside of the stick to the balls. A slash on the outside of the glove that actually has some protection is one thing, to the inside where there isn't jack **** for protection would cause me to flip ****. Never mind that they weren't even anywhere near the puck. I probably would have chopped his ankle if it were me, but then again I have to go to work in the morning so I might be a little more sensitive than an NHL player.

Off topic: my beer league team is moving up to Tier 1/A next season because we won Tier 2 3 sessions in a row so I'm hoping I can avoid the total hackers at least while I'm getting thoroughly embarrassed on a weekly basis.

Surprised more people weren't pissed about that, that was dirty as ****. Even if the ref didn't see the chop job, that "retaliation" should never be called.

Quality Loss. Very nice.

I'm a bit worried about Buffalo. They seemed to have remembered they are Buffalo and have begun to suck again.

This game is a good example of how fragile a goaltender's SV% can be.

Rinne: 23 saves on 25 shots
Ward: 23 saves on 26 shots

Rinne's SV%: .920
Ward's SV%: .885

That's a slim margin of difference for such a drastic change in SV%.
