I have the Canes feed due to blackout. Tuned in with a couple minutes left in the second. My wife reminded me this time last year we were in Raleigh for the 3-0 shutout loss.
They announced Aho's 35th goal in the broadcast. So I explained to her there are two different players in the NHL with the name Sebastian Aho. I said how weird is that. Both unique names, Sebastian, and Aho. And wild that they both play in the NHL. I asked how unique is that? and she's laughing at me. I asked why are you laughing? She answered, "You said two different players. What else could they be? Clones?"

And then I said "what a great play" (Dahlin's move and then pass for Mittelstad's goal.)
And she said "What play? THere were 10 guys standing there and it was a scrum."
And then the Cane's color guy (can't tell if it's Trip Tracy?) said, "What a great play by Dahlin".
So I gave her a "told-you-so".

I’m amazed that he picked Mitts outta that mess in front. Nice moves, but he put it on the tape of the guy in the best shooting position. Coulda easily just tossed it in the area, but he picks out the guy who can put it in. Nasty play, dude makes 1+2 against a top team look easy.

That was actually a good period. Defensive blunders, of course, but that's to be expected.

No. We’re the opposite.

Carolina is the hardest working team in hockey. They do not out skill, they outwork. They are not loaded with top 10 overall picks.

We are lazy and attempt to out skill. We are loaded with top 10 overall picks.

For how lazy the Sabres are they sure look to be giving one of the better teams in hockey a good run for their money today.
