Not a good game by your supposed leaders against another Eastern contender. That can't happen. This is what rubs me the wrong way. When they play like this against a team they could potentially see in the playoffs.
Weird game.. no one looked like they wanted to be there. OEL was an absolute pylon and he's usually real tough to beat on the outside.

Matthews and Marner is a duo you have to manage and use judiciously.
Five wins in a row and then a tragic night; I can live with that. Don't get me wrong; no excuses for the poor play of the 1st line as they were a collective hideocity. Woll wasn't good tonight, neither was OEL. Probably better that they lost by multiple goals.
Marner being a minus 6 and leading all forwards in ice-time is refreshing.
I think that's all that needs to be said... onto the next one

This game started with Goaltending, Leafs was in perfect control... Woll let a soft goal and Carolina came back strong with momemtum and tied it...and the 4th was a killer and leafs became completly flat after this one.
1st line need to be better too

-5 / -6 is impressively bad. I'm glad Berube at least seperated them for a period. Still, our first line got schooled by their third line. Almost un-winnable under those circumstances.
