I know some people think we have to sell "high", but I just can't see how we can trade Pete Dawg right now, might have to carry three for awhile.

sometimes the inexplicable happens, and you just gotta ride the walrus while it's going on, and that's exactly what we've got going right now with Peters.

Glad to find out they won this one. I know it wasn't technically a must-win, but they needed to get off that skid and salvage this road trip somewhat.

I don't even know what to think about our goalie situation anymore. If Peters can sustain this, I guess you just have to go with it.

Hopefully, some GM drinks the koolaid and maybe the canes get something worthwhile for Peters. He had 2 or 3 real good saves tonight. But for the most part, every time the Coyotes threatened with a real scoring chance, someone got a stick or body on the puck.

The game itself was pretty flawless. Against a very good team on the road. A little more punch from 3C. Maybe upgrade 4D if something presents itself. But otherwise, there aren't any holes.

If Peters was fresh from the AHL and didn't have a history of sucking at the NHL level we could probably get a 2nd round pick for him. I think most GMs will just consider this a hot streak. Can't see us getting anything more than a 5th round pick for him.

We need to get Khudobin back in net. Send Ward to the press box for a few games and hope it lights a fire under his ass if/when we trade a goalie and he comes back.

Well, the Yotes highlights on NHL.com show it a lot better, OEL definitely hacked (not hard) Staal after the ENG and they jawed a bit before Staal went after him. Not saying it's justifiable, just saying that's what happened.

To me with the way Peters is getting the job done, I wouldn't trade him for a draft pick. If we can get something else that would help the team now, maybe. I'd still hesitate with him really being our best option right now, but at least it would be justifiable since it could help another area immediately. I get sell high, but if high was just a decent draft pick, I don't think I'd waste my time at this point.

Just glad to end the road trip on a positive, and still pretty happy to finish a western trip with points in a few straight. Hopefully they'll be able to continue what has mostly been a move in a positive direction recently after all this time off. Will be interesting to see if any moves or anything are made during this big gap.

Yeah. I just came over here to say that after I watched the highlights. I think it's justifiable. You don't swing at someone's legs without meaning it. It wasn't a hard swing but I can see why Eric would be pissed.

FFS Staal.....have you no shame at all??????????? (apart from the little bit of emotion shown at the end tonight which was long over due). your point streaks are pointless...............really. you should be embarrassed. Christ.

Was it OEL that laid the shady hit on Faulk? Never saw the number, but my guess was this was related to that. Especially with Faulk coming in and challenging someone during the melee. Surprised John and Tripp didn't think that was a possibility.

I'll have to look in two days when the 48 hours passes on GCL. I thought it was a possibility at first but like it's been mentioned, OEL did swing at his legs. Going to be honest, I liked seeing Eric do that.

this whole "sell high/sell low" concept is a myth anyways. teams know fully well what they are getting with Peters and what they aren't. will be interesting to see what JR can do with the situation. nice problem to have I guess.

I didn't see the game, but an interesting note on that EN goal, Eric Staal now has as many EN goals as he has ES goals (with a goalie in the net):

3 ES Goals (with a goalie in the net)
3 EN Goals
2 SH Goals
1 PP Goal
