chance of something happening at least once within x number of attempts:

(1-(1- chance of thing happening in 1 attempt, as a decimal) ^ number of attempts)

30% chance: .3
3 attempts: 3

(1-(1-.3)^3)= .657

In other words, on 3 breakaways you have .657 chance to at least get one goal- which is to say you have a .343 chance to get no goal.

I’m making a broad assumption that your chance to score on each breakaway is about 30%.

That means your chance to miss is 70%.

So your chance to miss 3 times in a row is 70% x 70% x 70%, or roughly 34%.

I'm just glad to see that nobody on the team is panicking because of those three Tampa losses. I think everyone recognizes that Tampa is just that good and we need to study them instead of making over-the-top overhauls with our style of play.
