I grew up on a team that had no star power and had to carry everything by grit and forechecking. Wasn't always pretty, but that's how you win on a low budget.

That's the thing. We have 3 top forwards then a vast dropoff, and our only real offensive d-man now is Dougie.

We're going to need to embrace a defensive style and have a clear cut scoring line that we ride or else it's just going to be the same thing as the last 2 seasons, which isn't bad but ultimately no one's goal.
