It's because he's too reliant on his stick. He got it to work on the 2nd shooter, then tried to swipe the 3rd, which wasn't the play AT ALL

We stink at shootouts. Not sure how players making millions per year can be this bad on breakaways. But it sure is a good thing we don’t go to the shootout very often or we would have a worse record than we do.

Given how we were our own worst enemy helping them score their goals tonight it is a fitting end to the game. At least got a point out of a game we should be winning is a bit of a consolation prize if one wanted to take a glass half full approach…

I thought it was brilliant to use the poke check against a dman that won't be in that situation much. Just try to make normal saves after that. I still think we're a lot closer to playing how we need to play. Just, you know, don't take out your own goalie or have an unfortunate goal off the skate.
