He got beat, but Hamilton let's the guy take it to the net when he had a chance to absolutely level the guy and make him think twice about doing it again even if he scores.

I wasn't disagreeing that Hamilton could have done more. But if that was Hamilton (or Faulk) getting beat, the board would be all over him. Slavin was as much, if not more, at fault on that.

He got beat, but then it was a one-on-one with Hamilton and Sumo. And a weak stick check was all the effort Hamilton put into stopping that goal. Which was far less than the effort Sumo put into scoring it.
