No we suck and are obviously getting dominated even though by every single measure we've dominated the game. It's not like there's some other factor at play here that is tanking us today and has continually tanked us.
Yeah, irony aside, it feels like a curse. Maybe the curse of shit goaltending.

But we are making Jake Allen look like Dominic Hasek in his prime. Sheez.

We've got 2 goals on 2.2 xGF. The finishing has been pretty average.
Have no idea what that stat means. To my eyes we’ve had about 10 prime looks. Bratt has an open side if he lifts the puck one time; a breakaway the other side another time. Kuok is in alone and ends with a limp backhand into the pads. Nico is cutting across and shoots back across the grain wide. Shango blew a chance . . . etc. etc.

We should be ahead in this game.

And our finishing is abysmal in this game. Can just taking away Hughes have resulted in this complete evident lack of confidence with the puck? I mean even Nico missing the net with a grade A chance. And Kuok - well I suppose if he could finish break always, he wouldn’t be the marginal guy he is.

That Armia goal was so deflating.

It really feels like the Devils have regressed. I find it hard to have confidence in our future as I watch us tonight. Don’t know what it’s going to take for us ever to get over the hump.

Honestly there just doesn't look to be a lot of pride. They are going through the motions to finish the season. In a way I can't blame them considering every time they try to be fired up, one or more players gets hurt. But it does seem to be indicative of a systemic issue that has plagued this team for years. They get deflated too easy. They are so easy to throw off their games and once they feel out of it, they kinda become indifferent. It's pretty evident in a game like this. It's why Zetterlund and Greer are standing out. Because most of the vets, that have known nothing but losing and no consequence to their loser mentality habits, are going through the motions waiting for the season to end.

We've seen what a motivated Devils team can be. They aren't this bad. Goaltending would sink them either way, but at least they wouldn't look on par with, or even inferior to, the Canadians...

It's been all downhill since that slaughtering they suffered up in Boston last week. Their humans like us fans. I'm pretty much spend. Had the Denver Michigan game on.

Welp. like you said that that Armia goal was so deflating, a new goalie would go a long way.

I'm not high on Blackwood right now. The organization can't give him the rope they gave Schneider.
