Not to get tooooo meta here but that's a soft goal that happens sometimes.

No one in their right mind is aiming 5-hole from that far out. Even a dude who never scores. Because goalies lock the five-hole as often as they can with the butterfly. It's a low-percentage shot to take.

Vitek cheated a little bit knowing that to take away the upper part of the net. Five hole was open.

Barron flubbed the shot. It went low towards the five hole.

One thing I always notice is Smith is actually quite calm and seems to make good decisions on passes out of the zone.

I just don’t understand this point. People like the goalie who has better numbers, doesn’t have very uneven past with us and doesn’t get injured every 3 weeks.

When I wondered if Blackwood could stay healthy for the last part of the season (just a day or two ago) I didn’t think he would immediately get injured again.

People don’t need to shit on Vanacek more out of a sense of fair play, he’s having an excellent season.
