Nobody cares about this anymore as I haven’t seen it mentioned here yet but Bev Priestman was fired yesterday as Soccer Canada completed its investigation into the drone scandal at the Olympics. Interestingly, John Herdman who appears to be the creator of all this and who promised to help in this investigation in any way needed never bothered participating in it due to scheduling conflicts.
As usual with fifa the actual problem is that all practices should be open for everyone to watch.

The only teams that benefit from closed practices are rich teams with large coaching staffs.

I see John Herdman has stepped down from his job at Toronto FC. Now he can slink back to England. Hopefully this is the last we ever hear from this fraud.
One of the most unlikeable coaches I've ever seen. (Rivals Eakins) I've seen a lot. Not sure how he ever got approved for any of the gigs here. Everything from his basic mannerisms and yelling at female teams, it kind of rubbed me the wrong way from the start. To me his "we're going to f*** Croatia" in the Mens WC stands out as his defining moment. What an idiot. Good riddance.

I had no opinion of Herdman either way heading into the World Cup. I was fine with the narrative that he had improved both programs although I did find it interesting that when he left the women’s program he hinted it was because that team had reached its ceiling only for them to have more success with Priestman.
It didn’t take long for me to develop a negative opinion of him at the World Cup. He exposed himself for being tactically weak but that was just the tip of the iceberg. He appeared to have a meltdown and went from one controversy to another for no reason at all. He was a major distraction for the team and his behaviour was an embarrassment to the program and the country. I actually felt bad for the players and it had nothing to do with their 0-3 performance. That World Cup was supposed to be a learning experience for them in preparation for the next one where they are one of the host nations. Instead their coach was embarrassing them at every turn over things that really had nothing to do with the games. I can’t imagine it was much of a positive experience for any of them.
IMO, Herdman trashed his legacy at that tournament. That he left the national program after it was over suggests to me he knew it too. This drone scandal is just icing on the cake. It proves how flawed and fraudulent his entire tenure in Canada was.
