As for an off-topic. Finally we agree on something Caz.

As for not every Finn hating Sweden, some Finns do. If it just for sports or if they really hate our country, holding a grudge for 400 year old history, I don't know.

If it's the bigger brother mentality, well, Sweden isn't really a big brother to Finland in hockey no more, it's more of an equal chance of winning nowadays. So I don't know why people continue hating.

If it's for the very old history, it really is alot of resentfulness. If some people can't forgive/forget what some people countless of generations did 400 years ago, I don't know what to say. In that case, Finns should hate Russians alot more than Swedes (who have actually aided Finland in war). But I guess Russians get their share out of the proportion with Finnish hate.

Personally, if Canada and Finland play for example, I cheer for Finland. But all those Swedish haters sure don't make it easy for me. BECAUSE of those Swedish haters, if I pick a second team to cheer for it would be the Slovaks/Czechs/Russians, because I like about an equal amount of skilled players in those teams. Then it's not about cheering for their countries, just the hockey they perform. I just like hockey.
