GDT: Canada vs USA

Sure bud, incidental contact after the canadian player pushed him towards the crease and as he spins away to bury it, the goalie was totally impeded, right....

I honestly thought it was weak, but he didn't get pushed at all. Not sure what replay you were watching. He skated into the crease and then there was contact with the goalie. Slight contact, but contact nonetheless. Do I think that is a super-soft call? Yes. Unfortunately for the US team, that is the rule, though.

Yeah, Ive been here since 2003 and started posting in 09, totally my first time watching international hockey, mr 2021. Either way, enjoy your cheap win. Go Czechs.

Well, the score was 6-2, so even if you get the disallowed goals you lose.

What you should be upset about is your star players and their lack of finish. They missed the net or shot it right at Milic most of the time. Made him look good with poor shot selection and unforced mistakes. They should have won. Maybe work on more skill around the net, and some better leadership that doesn't look outside the dressing room when assessing blame while you're at it.

The Halifax screw job…. Unfortunate the best team in tournament has to settle for bronze

Canada was the better team, they deserved it. Our defense was atrocious.

Nonetheless it’s getting tiresome watching Canada getting the calls in big games in recent years when they host junior tournaments.
The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Lol you clowns gloating over the refs handing it to you. Really easy to win when every goal that goes in just magically doesnt count. Canadas game indeed. Dont even get me started on the fact that you guys are too scared to let the russians even compete these days.

The dude isnt completely wrong.
There’s this game for one. Also the gold medal game when TSN’s camera magically prevented a delay of game in the dying minutes if the gold medal game.
And that screw job of the USA at the Ivan Hlinka when Canada tied it after time expired. All of these are very recent.
This is just off the top of my head and I dont follow junior hockey too closely. Wouldn't be supposed if there were many more.

I did not see anything this game? You mean the interference call and the blatant push into the net of the goalies leg?
Now we also need bring up something that happened in some random tournament too, to try and create some illusion that fits your own minds agenda.

I just wanted to personally thank the handful of USA fans who were taking victory laps in here when the States went up 2-0…. Just like the story of the old bull and the young bull standing at the top of the hill, next time walk down fellas

Both calls were so close they could've gone either way. But the point is that Canada was, again, the beneficiary.

It likely wouldn't have been a big issue if a history of home cooking did not exist.
I’m guessing many of the Americans are tired of this. It’s accumulative. It all adds up over time.
And the Hlinka isnt some random tournament. It’s arguably the second best junior tourney nowadays. That screw job of the USA that year was flat out outrageous.

The two examples you cited below took place in other countries and there was no official from Canada last night. I guess it isn't an issue then because the only thing being cooked is your envy with a side of greens.

Well, that was a fun game, such tempo - and if the other team scores 6 to your 2, it hardly leaves room for argument. Am bit disappointed as I like the way US international teams play, Canada is usually so clinical and their fans maybe not the most modest, but they were clearly the better team here. And as good as the Czechs have been, and I'm totally rooting for them, Canada is a very big favourite in the final. Hoping for a great game!

You talk about home cooking and then list a puck hitting a hard camera that was at a tournament in Czechia that is in place at every tournament TSN does. Try to keep up with your own logic.

The Hlinka was in Edmonton.

You call the second call close and could have went either way?? So what you are saying is a new rule exists where a guy can force the goalie to slide puck into the net? No league including NHL would that have ever counted. May as well just get rid of goalies all together if you can just force push goals into the net. Get real dude.

People in here really gunna bitch about the refs lmao.

Do you guys forget about the women's gold medal game where Canada was literally short handed for over half the game? But they still won.

If you're gunna bitch about the refs so much be good enough to over come that. Not really sure how you can look at either of those goals that were called back last night and definitively say they were good goals, especially the 2nd one.
