Well frustrating to watch if you’re a CAN fan. First game in a couple years I paid to watch and I loved the intensity but sweet Jesus wtf was that!?

I know they are kids but those penalties were all deserved and plain stupid. Plus nobody can hit the net. CAN had plenty of good looks but everyone is so……unclutch. Even when they were around the net you knew they were gonna f**k it up. Just odd watching these top prospects dipsy doodle too the net and then turn to some Junior C player around the net.

He didn't have much to do. Most of Canada's best chances the shots missed the net.
As someone who was at the game I find most of these comments pretty entertaining and misguided. Canada controlled that game 5 on 5 and if it wasn’t for some pretty poor reffing and undisciplined penalties Canada would have walked away with the win.

They were the better team, but a lack of finish and help from the refs gave US the win. Augustine was solid and was tested with many scrambles in right. Hopefully, Canada figures out how to finish ASAP, otherwise it will be a short finish. But, it wouldn’t be the first time the new years winner got bumped out by the loser of that game. Nothing has been determined yet.

A change in attitude is needed. Team Canada players have to adjust their thinking and play for each other, for the good of the team. It can be done, but will it?
I will wait to see.

stop the selfish penalties
I blame the TSN effect. These young guys are thrown into the spotlight, treated like rock stars and expected to gel as a team when the focus is on the individual . This is shades of last year!

Weird game.

USA obviously the more talented team. Canada so stupid giving away the game with undisciplined penalties.

My money's on Canada if there's a rematch.

Canada lacking flair and finish so far makes it more interesting in a way. If they gel enough to pull off a gold or even make it to the finals it will feel so much sweeter than normal now.

I bet they dont take a single selfish penalty in quarters. And they were fine defending and moving puck 5v5. The scoring touch is the biggest concern.
I wouldn't take that bet when we have absolute brainless morons like Easton Cowan on the roster.

They should ship him to Siberia before the next game.

I think the talent level is pretty even.
There is something not quite right with Canada's scoring threat. They have to be more commanding in the slot area.

Augustine was very good. Team USA played a good game and deserved the win.
