Among all the players picked above him. No one hates on Yager because the Penguins drafted him. If he was Leafs prospect, then he'd be the one costing them the tournament. Same with McKenna.

Yes, the hate on Cowan just because he's a leaf is laughable and there is a fair bit of it. However, he has also sucked shit, just like the rest of this team has. And as one of the "top" guys, he deserves a lot of blame.

Seriously cannot understand how anyone on Team Canada thought that playing Thug Hockey was a winning play. And for Cameron not to put an end to it right away is crazy. But hey. Kudos to the US for actually being to put the puck in the net, which is something Canada seemingly forgot how to do this year.

Canada's issue is that thus far they have had trouble scoring 5v5 too. So even if they clean up the penalties, they still may struggle.

It's great that Canada hasn't allowed a 5on5 goal against yet, but they also struggle to score, parade to the penalty box, and have a mediocre penalty kill. Not a recipe for success.

Cowan isn't the only player at fault here. Look he's been bad I admit it too. But he's not the only guy.

Rehkopf took two dumb penalties, Ritchie, Pinelli and Mynio as well took dumb penalties.
Catton and Mckenna combine for 2 points through 4 games.
Yager has been invisible for a guy who's wearing the C.

Our coach constructed a team without guys who should be there in Yakemchuk, Sennecke and Misa.
