The complaints about the Dickinson probably would carry a little more weight if Svoboda wasn't buried by a crosscheck from behind on the same play.
I don'T think this penalty is called if the American player whose identity I forgot hadn't ran into the linesman (it was absolutely call-worthy, I'm just not sure it's called).

Hopefully Canada scores 2 quick goals and the fans go crazy loud for 15 minutes. Then the USA rattles off 4 goals in the final 5 minutes and the arena is as quiet as Montreal in the 1996 World Cup final game.

Cowan is a good player, maybe not as good as he thinks he is but he's solid. So are Yager, Dickinson, and Catton.

But the problem with leaving a bunch of talent at home is they know their top of the lineup and PP spots are safe whether they're producing or not. In a short tournament such as this a role player only has so much value. Not all your skill guys are going to be on like you need them to be for every game, so when they're not there's no option to put in another producer who's been creating. You have to keep these junior kids hungry.

HC even now brings players for functional reasons. Like 4th liner should be an energy guy
Also, who played in under 18 tournies.....

Just bring the player that's hot and having a good season.

Cowan shouldn't be a line driver. He should be F1 in on the forecheck and being a disruptor. They are asking him to be the primary puck carrier and drive the play and I don't think that is where he is best suited. Honestly seems to be a theme on this team of talented players not being utilized to put them in a place to succeed. Bonk as PP QB being the most glaring.

Yea, Cowan thinks he's a star. He's just another guy.
