1 team comes into this game worried about their offensive production but quite happy with their defensive play.
Another comes into the game quite happy with their offensive production but worried about their defensive play.

Should be interesting.

I’m guessing Canadian fans will be cursing Leonard either way tonight. As an American, I hope it’s because he was a pest and productive.

Hard to imagine Canada’s offensive issues lasting much longer. Eventually, they will click and progress to the mean.

US needs Buium to quit trying to be Slavin and just play his game. Hensler & Perreault also have more to offer than they have shown so far.

My guess is that Cameron and the HC brass put together this team with beating the US in mind. If they fail tonight there is a good chance they will be out in the quarter finals again

Don't even worry about scoring goals to start this game boys, just get after them and establish a good forecheck to start this game and get your legs going and some flow, throw the puck on net and crash the net and get a dirty one and you will start to feel better about yourself and then things will start to come together.

Just keep it simple and stick to the basics and get some confidence going.

Canada's defence has been good but if they don't find a way to transition a little better, I think the US offence will eventually win out.

Should be an exciting game either way.

I'm a big USA Hockey guy but I have a hard time seeing our guys winning tonight if Augustine doesn't find his A game.

Their offensive issues are because they left like half their offensive talent off the team.

Canada’s D (imo) has been bad offensively. Scoring comes a lot from D in the best hockey. Canada’s D is definitely lacking in play drivers. I see a big win by the US tonight. I don’t see Canada’s D being able to keep up with the US D offensively. The D will be the difference.

If Hutson gets buzzing around we're in trouble.

Why are both fan bases so pessemistic about their chances? I mean, it's not like either are going up against a dominant team. They both have an equal chance of pulling it off or shitting the bed.

Lots of sandbagging going on, should be a good one.
