Funny how just a few days ago the hockey world was debating whether this tournament matters one bit. And now the same people are more hyped for this game than any other hockey game so far this season. No doubt the Montreal crowd will be very electric, and very loud during both of the anthems.

In my brief research of the situation... the US has 316k bald eagles in the lower 48 states.. plus another 30k in Alaska alone.

What i have seen ..Canada has 110k bald eagles.

These numbers are from each of the countries official wildlife government agencies.
Weird cause the first 3 google searches seem to confirm Canada has more... There is no shot there are 316k in the lower 48. Nearly all US bald eagles reside in Alaska. Not trying to start a debate but there habitat mainly ranges from the PNW up the BC coastal mountain range and into Alaska.

Based on the result of Sweden/Finland, tonight’s game is way less important for Canada to win. They just need to beat Finland on Monday. I guess in regulation if they lose to the U.S. in regulation.

The good news is if it comes to a tie-breaker between Canada and Sweden, Canada gets it as they got the win when the two teams played.

But there's still a lot of ways this can go, even if Canada wins tonight (esp. if it's in OT instead of regulation). The best thing they can do to help themselves and take some pressure off for the Finland game is win tonight, period.

The Bald Eagle Population Size Report: 2020 Update provides the most current population estimate of bald eagles in the lower 48 states. The bald eagle population climbed to an estimated 316,700 individual bald eagles, including 71,400 nesting pairs. This estimate indicates that the bald eagle population has quadrupled since the last set of data was collected in 2009.
