I think the biggest thing the US has going against it is they need their best players to be Connor Hellebuyck and Auston Matthews in a big game...

One thing I've learned watching the best in many sports over the years in the Olympic/national tourneys and their leagues playoffs is not every player who struggles or excels in one does so in the other. I've seen so many tennis players have no trouble winning grand slams but in 2-3 chances in the Olympics they simply could not get past opponents they'd otherwise easily do so. Matthews and Hellebuyck might just feel way less pressure here than in the POs

This game has been great
but I still wish there were a way to make another European combo team so the lesser represented countries could get some people in. So many star players completely omitted due to country size and political issues :\ Keep politics out of the game.
