Super disappointing for the Finns to be missing Heiskanen and Risto whos having a renaissance season. They're D group played really well against Sweden though.View attachment 978456
Finn's essentially have 5 NHL D that play 20 ore more a night. 2 are out. That's gotta hurt a small nation! I've really enjoyed Mikkola to be honest. Expect Lindell to play 25 tonight.
Finn's always come together and play great. Really curious if they got a nail biter ready for this afternoon. Score early on Binnington and it gets a bit interesting.Super disappointing for the Finns to be missing Heiskanen and Risto whos having a renaissance season. Harley out is f***ing insane
Both count the same
72 hours ago people were literally laughing at Harley being there at all.
He was their best d-man last game and Harley-Doughty dominatedHe's the 6th dman. When you can replace Harley with Makar even at 80%, nothing is insane about that decision. 72 hours ago people were literally laughing at Harley being there at all.
Yeah I love the way the Finns play on international stages. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts is a good way to describe their squads. Should be a great gameFinn's always come together and play great. Really curious if they got a nail biter ready for this afternoon. Score early on Binnington and it gets a bit interesting.
Let's be honest, neither of them have been that good. McDavid was pretty invisible outside of that individual effort vs the US. He also had a good first period vs the Swedes, but after that it was pretty quiet. On the scoresheet yes. When arguing over who has been better, no.
Bieksa read out the line rushes as follows:
Stone McDavid Point
Crosby MacKinnon Reinhart
Hagel Cirelli Marner
Marchand Bennett Konecny
Better than last game, but I still really don't understand why Crosby isn't playing centre
He was their best d-man last game and Harley-Doughty dominated
There is 0 reason to go away from that, take Sanheim out
I don’t think mcdavid has that upper level yet. Maybe he shows it but I am not convincedLet's be honest, neither of them have been that good. McDavid was pretty invisible outside of that individual effort vs the US. He also had a good first period vs the Swedes, but after that it was pretty quiet.
If Canada is winning or losing based on who the 6th dman is they don't deserve to win

With this and committing to Binnington, seems like Cooper is doing his best job to make things more difficult. At least he finally moved Point up.At this point in time it seems Cooper is bent on having Crosby and Mackinnon on the same line.
I like him with McDavid.Looks like they’re FINALLY rolling Point out in the top 6. I always had him on the 1st or 2nd line in my mock rosters
