That’s a fair question. In my opinion he should be. I think his ego might be a bit inflated though it shouldn’t be after his draft collapse. Maybe we’ll see him at the December tourney.

The fans of the other teams (aside from Finland who have all their guys available here) were rankling they were missing 3 guys (eventhough all these years they would moan about Canadian fans complaining about players missing, but put them in the same boat and see what you get, from them, same whining) .

It falls on deaf ears for me.

No matter what you say, they will play the victim.

It's like the 2016 World Cup. The Americans brag about their depth (catching up to Canada / being able to produce 2 teams, etc) so the NHL says, "Okay, we'll have first dibs on your U23 players". Then the Americans finish 7th and say, "No fair. We didn't have all our players."

there was no competitive hockey in Europe those days. It was all USSR. Try one more time, man.

Still had a great time even though everyone knew it was a farce.

Heck, I saw West Germany beat Canada 5-2.
