I usually always start with a Czech, German Pilsner, or a local craft beer or two.

From then on it's light beer for caloric purposes.

It does the trick
It's not the worst idea because the more you drink, the less it's about tasting but getting drunk. Saves you money and calories.

Czech offence needs a lot of help. Run support is needed to win gold. They should have hired Gaborik as assistant Coach.

I'd understand the argument for both or neither.

I'd understand that again, the IIHF is a business and that, like it or not, they made a business decision to not lose both Russia and Canada for the WJCs.

They'd make no money at all otherwise... Not that the rich need to get richer.
Exactly my stance too. Both or neither.

This World Junior Championship deserves an asterisk. Canada should’ve been banned for all the sexual assault cases it buried not Russian hockey players who had nothing to do with their leaders political decisions.
Compared to these Canadian hockey players who had nothing to do with their leaders decisions…?

Also sexual assault is awful, but not exactly on the level of global wide issues and thousands of deaths…

I saw them back in college doing a warm up show before a big tour. It was a neat show because it was on the floor of the pub and you could just walk up to the lead singer.
That is awesome. They were an underrated band back in the day.

I don't really know how to feel about Guenther.

On one hand his finishing is great....on the other hand everything else he does just seems so, meh...at best.

Not to mention...

It's well understood that sports, especially national competition and tournaments, are the civilized way of waging war. It's a direct analogue involving resources, capital, skill, etc in order to prove superiority without loss of life.

Russia waging actual war sort of defeats that purpose.

You don't get to participate in make-believe war and real war, it seems like a decent compromise to me.
