Canada Soccer Part VII: Qatar Booked Edition

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I'll try again, THE PLAYER said he wasn't able to play, that's not my opinion, it's not hard to understand. The coach decided to let him play and the result was seen almost immediately.

Do we want to make 3 with maybe Eustachio? But in any case I would treat the only real star of the team better.
Your position is totally based on what his agent said; a position contradicted by Soccer Canada which mentioned that AD said he was fit enough and wanted to play. Regardless with your other comments one can see what side you are on and you won't let facts get in the way.

It is written everywhere that it was planned not to use him from the first minute because he was tired, could it have happened later? Of course. I don't think the agent would have said anything otherwise.

We cannot be 100% sure what was said or not said. The Athletic is reporting the team had planned to hold him out but he insisted he was fit.

His agent (a term to use loosely as he is a friend of the family, little for credentials and next to no client base) is the type to try and grab headlines. Any press is good press for this guy.

It certainly feels as though Marsch and Davies need to clear the air, face to face would be best. If Marsch did something he shouldn't, he needs to own it. If Davies agent is not telling the truth, Davies needs to own it.

This is not a closed shop board but if you expect to come in here guns a blazing and not be called out on your bullshit... you are in the wrong place.

Ok sheriff!!

Junior Hoilett with a goal and assist today in a win for Hibs over St Johnstone. Keeping them in 3rd which is pretty damn remarkable.

I'll provide more info on our men tomorrow.

More from Saturday - Johnston with a clean sheet and 90 in a 3-0 Celtic win.

Promise David on the board in a 5-1 USG win.

Fill it to the rim with Brym with another goal as Almere try to climb out of a relegation hole.

Not super days for Corn and Bomb as their teams both lost.

Harry Paton had an assist in a loss for Motherwell vs Aberdeen.

Former Cap, Patrick Metcalfe is beginning his 3rd season with Fredrikstad in the Norwegian league. He's a 26 year old midfielder.

Is Harry Paton on Marsch's radar? I'd like to see guys like Sigur and Paton get a look in the CDM role.

Had to update Villareal. Big road win over Getafe. Tajon with a start and an assist.

Not sure if t was a coincidence or not.. Perhaps Split watched Sigur over the break. He played 71 minutes at RB today in a win.

MLS notable - Tani with both goals in a 2-0 win last night. Dayne with the clean sheet.

Ismael Kone off the bench and on the board!! Stretches Rennes lead to 2-0 on the road.

Eustaquio is playing in the middle of a back 3 for Porto today. They trail at Estoril, 1-0.

This could be interesting. He's the highest rated player of the back 3 so far.

As a European living in Barcelona I still find it mind boggling that those kind of people really do exist. The Americans we get here tend to be really cool, but maybe there's a distinct kind of people who leave US for Barcelona.
When ever I travel to Europe or elsewhere, the Americans I meet are usually pretty good.

I was on a cruise which would not be my first choice for a vacation. It attracted a certain crowd form the US, lots of people from more southern parts.

Portland Timbers report.. 3-1 win tonight over Houston. Pantemis again in goal with Kamal at LCB.

Creps on the bench, McGraw an unused sub.

I don't believe those Americans who watch Fox and Newsmax are traveling to Europe for culture.
