Canada Soccer Part VII: Copa America Semifinal Edition

Going to count him as ours for now. Promise David with a pen as USG defeated Sint Truiden. 3rd in the table with a hill to climb to get near Brugge and 1st place Genk.

Interesting move. A big step down the table which is a shame to see but he needs the minutes and should have plenty of opportunity to help Rennes avoid the drop.
And they probably have more patience with him than Marseille.

Koné needs some "babysitting". He is not used to be a pro. Contrary to the other kids of the level, he has not really came up threw an academy. He needs coaches who are willing to be teachers. Wilfred Nancy (his coach when he was in Montreal) said as much a few weeks ago.

Forge fall 2-0 on a cold one in the Hammer. We had a great first half, creating many chances but just never had that final decisive ball when it mattered.

You can tell the players are just getting back into the swing of things and that the team has some new faces who need some time to gel. With that said there were some solid signs of what's to come this CPL season. Brown looks like he will be a problem, Babouli is a proven scorers, and Nimick is a huge upgrade on the back end.

Title #5 is officially loading.

Not a glorious day across Europe but there were some debuts.

Tajon got a cameo for Villareal in a road win. Kone got a 20 minute run in a road win for Rennes.

Tom McGill has been recalled to Brighton. He backed up Verbruggen today.

Bombito started in a win for Nice and looked his usual self.

Sigur played 70 in the double pivot with Rakitic as Split won. Rijeka are battling them hard for the title.

Jebbison scored for the Cherries in the FA cup.. small steps for him.

The injury ward still has Davies and Choniere in it. Millar and Poku long term..
