The best option is to stick with Biello until the federation gets its shit together and can then give the new coach the ressources needed to grow the program.

Until then, it is not worth hiring a competent manager. They won't come anyway.

Interesting if true:

Forge off to a mighty fine start this year.... I would love for Bobby to finish out the season but that may not be feasible if he us ultimately chosen for the CMNT role.

My guess is Solskjaer will be the coach and one/both of them as his assistants. Candidates don't necessarily mean for the HC position but we'll see. The earlier the better.

Forge host Montreal today at 11 am est for a school dat game. 11,000 Kids showing up to the game. Should be an interesting one.

Maybe we finally get over the hump and beat an MLS team.

1-1 final and once again we deserved far better vs an MLS foe at the Donut Box. Having 2 legged ties in the quarters is ridiculous and (along with the horrible and stupid away goals rule) is clearly designed to make an MLS team getting knocked out all but impossible (also would help if the official didn't have his head shoved up his ass on the obvious penalty that should've been awarded 30 seconds into the match).

So close once again. Probably should have scored in the 90th minute as well.

The penalty miss was such bs too, my goodness.

Montreal is in shambles after their DC leaving today. Forge has a real shot at catching them with their pants down during the return game.
It would be a big moment for Forge and the CPL in general. Here's hoping we get some Cup magic!

second biggest attendance ever for us:

It's a massive upgrade on Mauro Biello who really doesn't have the capacity to manage a team at this level.

Right before Copa America as well.

Great observation.
As a Yank the US MNT fans have lusted over Marsh for some time so the fanbase is in a frenzy over this, especially with discontent over GGG's management style

The games between the US and Canada just got real

trying to smile and remind myself that this hire is revealing of how far Canada have come that a manager who has managed in the Champion's League* and Premier League is gonna manage Canada

but Marsch is not good at all and i do not like this hire. better than the rumoured Phil Neville, but i would definitely have taken Lampard over Marsch.

*(obviously Floro had managed UCL but he was a dinosaur and i don't count it as being a 'big hire' in any way whatsoever)

This is where I'm at. Not pumped, but it's likely the best we could do given the short turnaround and lack of budget.

Phil would have been a travesty though lol

god, it's bad enough that Phil nepotismed his way into 59 England caps, but him nepotisming his way to the Lionesses' helm (wherein he held the team that is now at worst #2 on earth back from hitting that height 5 years ago when they likely should've) and then to Inter Miami is truly abominable.

i wouldn't trust him coaching a Canadian university
