As a Finn now i feel awful, sad, beaten, weak.

But every time Canada wins it`s great because this is Canada`s game

Canada has given us Gretzky, Lemieux, Messier, Yzerman, Sakic, Bourque, Brodeur, Roy, Stevens, Francis, Macinnis, Gilmour, Neely, Belfour, & many many more

Better team won today, Finland had amazing team and tournament, but in the end Canada was so much better today.

Thank you team Finland and congratulations to Canada

It's not pretty, but I've always loved the gritty style of game the Finns employ. I always pull for them aside from Canada.

You guys are producing some top end talent, and I'm looking forward to one of your best suiting up in a Jets jersey!

Thank you for the kind words.

Finns deserved to be in that game and I'm glad we share hockey together with such a beautiful nation as Suomi. Hockey is the greatest sport on earth and brings our northern countries together.

Congrats on the Silver :).

Canada learned from their mistakes and that's a quality not many top team has in this level. Much love and respect to CAN they definitely we're better tonight.

Finland looks great, a lot of swagger. They will dominate for years to come, so much young elite talent. Only 5 million people yet such a good hockey program. Looking forward to watching them next time.

Yes Canada is number one! but lets see 2018! wich team that gonna take that spot or if they still gonna be champions:p!

As a Canadian with many close friends in Finland it was both nice, and a little sad to see Canada win, and Finland lose. I was hoping that Finland could pull off the upset and win the triple gold, but all in all, they have nothing to feel down about after this year of hockey, and the bright future of their small nation.

Also, Russia sucks, Sweden sucks, USA sucks, CANADA ROOLZ!

Matt Dumba = not A-Team. Among many others.

Don't mind him.

He's just getting the first taste of what it feels like to have your best players decline to go to a development tournament.

It is the cake that comes with no longer being a developing hockey nation, your best players have better things to do than play in a 2nd tier tourney; they are training to help themselves have a better shot at winning something more important.

A copy paste though from another post I made about swedish players declining the invitation. I present you two rosters better than what Canada Sent:

Team Canada players eligible but not at tournament:
Benn-Toews-Giroux
Nash-Tavares-Okposo
Neal-Bergeron-Carter
Lucic-RNH-Eberle

Keith-Doughty
Hamhuis-Weber
Methot-Subban

Price
Holtby

Team "Stanley":
Drouin-Crosby-Schwartz
Marleau-Thornton-Stamkos
Bonino-Couture-Perron
Fabbri-Fehr-Brouwer

Letang-Burns
Vlasic-Pietrangelo
Bouwmeester-Parayko

Fluery
Jones

Random Un-invited Not mentioned but better than some players on the team:
Seguin, Spezza, Seabrook, Monahan, Simmonds, Johansen, Huberdeau, Schenn, Couturier, Henrique, Hamilton, Zajac, Coyle, Brodie, Staal, Staal, Staal, Seabrook, Smith, Ribiero, Spooner, Campbell, Hartnell, Kunitz, Sharp, Little.... etc.

I'm starting to really like the Finns. Might be my team I cheer for when Canada isn't playing.

I love going for the Danes too, but they don't have the talent and skill like Finland. Finns play with the same heart and soul as Canadians do.

Thank you for your nice words and speaking the truth. Many European posters in this forum like Yakushev72 do not want to acknowledge this truth. We are the best in the world right now. We sent an inferior team than last year's team, and still won with our B/C team.

Congrats to Russia on their Bronze, and congrats to Finland (a great hockey nation) on their Silver. You have a bright future ahead of you for many years to come, along with countries such as USA and Sweden.

Congratulations, Canada! Silver is not bad either, eh, Finns? Latvia is still hanging around, somehow.

See you next year, guys!
