He said he doesn't like it, and it's understandable why not; even if unintentional it does have a derogatory connotation.
I know it's a "natural" choice, meant in good fun, and that you don't get to pick your own nickname (Fruitloops anyone?), but continuing to call him Stank when he's said he doesn't like it would seem to show a lack of respect towards the kid, even if unintended. And getting to where he is in pro hockey at his size it seems like he should have earned a fair amount of respect, even at only 22yo (I mean the kid did just square up with Tom Wilson!).
Just my opinion of course, and I don't mean to be critical of anyone calling him that, just drawing attention to the issue for consideration.
