Josh Brown makes me yearn for Klingberg
Team is playing 4D chess

They throw out the Klingberg news to Frank S and Co

Then they purposely play Josh Brown to make us yearn for a Klingberg......

Hell, maybe the league is too. They purposely are not giving us PP's and want us to be a better ES team. They are helping us gear up for a playoff run.

Good win.

I feel like Philp needs to find another gear.
Tough team to insert him in against. I agree though. I would just like to see him a little more

Mostly because Derek Ryan is so bad and should retire and I want tos we what we have in Philp

Could it actually be a thing?

Potter looks like a superstar compared to Josh Brown. He would make Nikita Nikitin or Theo Peckham look good. Holy f***, Josh Brown sucks balls.

I honestly couldn't think of a defenceman we've had that has been this bad, which is saying something. Like I would take guys like Sutton, Gryba, Clendening over him.

Cam Barker? Idk

Only took like 5 years but we might have finally put the Minnesota Wild Curse to bed!

Picks was great. Lots of huge saves.

McD 3 Pts.

More Podzduction. He deserves it, he plays the right way.

Nuge was Huge again.

Not our best team performance, but we outscored our problems tonight and Picks held the fort.
To me Nurse deserves that winning goal and I'm not certain it happens without him storming the net. Used to be in case of an own goal player closest was credited and certainly makes sense in this case. All pods did was sweep it across when a pass wasn't even there. Nurse pressuring that play and having the balls to rush the net on that is to me what makes the goal. Its against the Wild too so you know on a play like that Nurse is going to be answering to the wild after and he did. Big bronze balls on that play Nurse. Its silly to me Nurse doesn't even get a point on the play and Josh Brown does.

Small quibble but I like how these goals were awarded formerly to the player closest to puck.

Surprisingly good game tonight in what is usually a tough building to play in. I thought Arviddson really came to play tonight, liking this player a lot lately.
As for Hartman, this is a joke right? The guy kicks one of the best players in the league to the ice, ref right there and does f*** all. Fine. We’ll take matters into our own hands and beat the shit out of him. Nope. Don’t do that either, it’s a f***ing disgrace and I’m sick of this shit. How these guys can look at Drai or themselves in the mirror is beyond me.

I woulda given the 3rd star to Nuge.

Podz with the GWG baby!

I really though Nurse just tipped it over the pad too. But yeh that was a hard play by Nurse driving the net. Deserves full credit.

I'd happily have Klingberg here knowing I won't ever have to see Josh Brown in the Oilers lineup ever again.
Idk how many scoring chances against were numbered with Brown on the ice, but my god, felt like every scoring chance was a Grade A. f*** that guy.

Hopefully it's just a matter of understanding that you have to make decisions a bit quicker and be stronger on your stick. That play where Foligno picked his pocket is something that I'd like to think he has the ability to get out of his game. He's missed a lot of hockey and has minimal experience with the big club.

Missed the game and just saw McDavid being interviewed on TNT so I knew it was a good result.

We got Podkolzin for a 4th with this guy signed at at a near league minimum deal for another year, not to mention Emberson. So nice to have high level pro scouting for a change.

Beat Minny twice in Minny, this is like apocalyptic level shit.

Could it actually be a thing?
Sure. Hines is more of a tactitian. The former Wild coaches have been more into the "Wild" type of play that the Wild are pretty suited for. So even though Minny are still uber physical and take liberties they don't run teams right out of the rink anymore. Its more composed sets now and GA prevention and less bruising play.

Still think the Wild are the hardest team to play in the league as far as a black and blue impact. You Play the Wild and you feel it during, after, and later. Credit again for Wild bringing this level of game with all their injuries. A lot of teams would have folded the tent.

Suprised we won with all the chances we were giving up but this team is just that much better than the Wild (especially with the key players they were missing)

Edit: Also, Pickard made several amazing saves.
