When we used to have Denis Potvin doing colour for the Senators, he'd bring up this "that shot SOOOUNDED GOOD" story about how a guy with a big shot kept missing the net and hitting the glass, and that it's better to get it on net than to go for sheer velocity.

He'd bring it up like every game.

"That shot SOOOUNDED good...."

Our D likes to stand up at the line but I find that's where a lot of the opposition transition chances and odd-man rushes come from.

This is more typical IIHF reffing. Oh well.

A bit surprised that Canada plays so slow paced hockey so far. Maybe they'll gear up?

It reminds me a bit of the last game when they opened up the pace in the 2nd period after a fairly slow 1st period.
