I generally hate those threads because they're always so unreleastic...

In this case... it is interesting to say the least.

If Jack ends with 1,500+ points... and that's a big if, maybe?

Definitely not impossible. Both Quinn and Jack are near ppg career wise.

500 pts over the next 10 years for Quinn brings him to 750 pts (thats 50 pts per year, seems realistic even with a decline).

Jack at 75 pts per year for 10 years would bring him to 1000 pts by age 32.

Youre looking at 1750 pts between these two. Barring health issues, the numbers look attainable.

Idk what Luke's ceiling is but it looks sky high. Say Luke gets 500 pts ... thats 2250 pts total

We're looking at about 600 missing pts, but all of them could exceed the totals I brought up. And you still have Jack's 32+ seasons left, and Quinn's 34+

Not easily, but they could do it

Hard no. Reasonable predictions of all the players leave them far short of the record.

Hard yes. All they have to do is leverage their cult of capability, and eke out marginal gains over the last few career years to surpass the Great One for this completely unofficial reward. Or failing that, facilitate another brother adoption.

You choose. Mind you, NHL could add a 3rd assist too.

As someone already pointed out, comparing 3 Hughes brother to Wayne and Brent doesn't make sense as the Gretzky's aren't the leading scoring combination of brothers.....the Sutters have a bit more....but Wayne and Brent is far and away the most for 2 brothers.....even though Brent only contributes 4 points to the total.

So, question should be whether 2 of the Hughes brothers can exceed Wayne and Brent's point total.....my answer to that question is - "super unlikely"....but not impossible.

That'd require Quinn and Luke to only get 650 each, and Quinn is well on his way to that.

Maybe wait and see if they hit 2000 points first?

Hell, even 1000. (its more than likely they will but hey, any thing can happen)

Quinn hitting 1000 is possible but not a guarantee. Jack hitting 1000 should happen but you never know with injuries. Luke hitting 900 isn't something I'd bet on by any means. I highly doubt it happens
