Rumor: Cam Robinson - Tuch Availability

Sabres don’t need prospects
They could not trade them for established players
Even if they wanted prospects, Tampa bay has Bare cupboards

Makes no sense
I'm not sure what you read...

My tldr statement is trading Tuch hurts the Sabres both now and in the future because of the player he is on the ice and being someone that is excited to play here.

Even if there was a top 6 Center available that would get us to consider moving Tuch...and it was one that didn't have a NTC or was willing to come to Buffalo.

Why wouldn't we deal with that team directly since we have better and more prospects and picks. ... and just keep Tuch in the process.

Mackenzie Weegar.

What is the point? .. We aren't looking to move him. Just to get in a pissing match with another team? .. Nah.. we just keep him and re-evaluate everything in the offseason and see what is out there and go from there.

A mid pair RD who is defense 1st and U27 with team control

Someone who van plsy middle 6C weed ho us strong on faceoffs and defense

I will not take 28+ playerd on long contracts that end after they are 33

I appreciate the answers. How does Buffalo manage a trade for ANYONE then? Nevermind Tuch. This might apply to any top forward you want back. I'm not saying this to dunk on you guys. Just more piggybacking on the fact you guys openly believe Pegula has run the team down. What you're asking for make sense. I guess it's to point out I don't know how it gets done because of how bad it's gotten under Pegula's watch. If you trade for someone. It may have to be futures. No matter how much you don't want it.

But otherwise, you're the most loyal fans in sports and I hope you guys are rewarded one day.

These type of deals rarely happen at the deadline. More likely at draft/ summer

I know last year was byram-Mittlestadt swap. Those are rare. Deadline deals are generally players for youth and/or picks

I see buffalo doing a few trades in the sumner...cozens/F for RD and then Power/ Byram for a C.. they could merge cozens+ power/ byram for EP or go after McDavid if not resigned on july 1.

It's not easy, they're looking to be on the Dallas Star's side of Seguineque trade. Even if the player isn't of that caliber.

It is not going to be easy that is for sure... we basically have to wait until something shakes loose and checks all the boxes and then make sure they either don't have a ntc or is willing to waive.

Sounds like an impossible situation from the outside huh? ... I assure you it feels impossible from the inside as well. So we sit and wait and hope we can re-sign Tuch in offseason.

Columbus feels like a team that has the young NHL pieces that Buffalo would want to justify trading Tuch.

I doubt Columbus is going to want to give up any roster players in the middle of a playoff push.

They do have a lot of nice pieces tho.

It's tough because Tuch isn't cost controlled, but if it's a draft day deal where they can work out an extension with him, I think Sillinger for Tuch is reasonable.

It's not a deadline deal because they can't get a deal done with Tuch right now, but I think the match makes sense on paper. Even with trading Sillinger, they still have Fantilli, Monahan and Jenner (when healthy) down the middle.

As a CBJ fan, I'd do Sillinger for Tuch in a heartbeat. I see no reason why Buffalo should do it, though.

Honestly not very interesting, another young center who is unproven and does not play in the top 6.

Pass. Sillinger for Quinn? Maybe. But Tuch would need to start with Kent Johnson.
