No, I have no sour grapes about Buffalos place in the standings.

Of course the Sabres, like any struggling team that had hopes for the playoffs, will take calls. That’s not “news”. That’s common sense. And why would Buffalo say no about a club that is likely to grossly overpay? This isn’t reporting a rumour. It’s making a comment that anyone with any sense could make. The TDL is less than a week away, it may not be super informative, but I think it is news that Tampa is still trying to acquire him and that Buffalo hasn’t said no.
Yes. The Eichel trade signified a new rebuild... that made Reinhart not willing to re-sign. We will be coming up on 4 years of that rebuild... the fan base has lost patience ... it is time to move young players for more established players... not other way around.
It is why Adams stated the time to win is now this offseason after years of preaching patience. He and Pegula know the fanbase isn't going to tolerate this Groundhog day of doing the same thing over and over again.
If it comes to it next year and Tuch isn't willing to sign then yes he will be moved if Sabres are out of PO race..and yes it will be for futures...and yes it will be for less than today.
That bridge will be crossed when the time comes...but right now there is zero reason to move Alex Tuch outside of an overpayment for legitimate NHL players. Zero.
Hopefully this topic doesn't get locked because some people refuse to close their eyes and cover their ears
I meant to ask. Who is Cam Robinson?
Adams trading for Schmaltz , who is making 8.5M next season might be one of the few moves out there that could convince Pegula's frugal ass to fire Adams.![]()
His contract is backloaded. Cap hit of $5.85M.Haha oh shit, nvm, who in the f*** gave Schmaltz 8.5? That’s absolutely insane.
Actually, there could be sense in moving Tuch. Even if it is for futures.
The Sabres aren’t going anywhere this season. They could use prospects and draft picks this off-season to bring in established players.
Which dude? Several guys have said the same thing
Kevyn Adams is actually tied up on the other line because a Nigerian prince offered him the opportunity to help him get his millions out of Africa.Kevyn Adams is listening, it's most of the fanbase that isn't.
But they have draft picks and prospects to bring established players? But would have one less established player.Actually, there could be sense in moving Tuch. Even if it is for futures.

My god, it’s a rational Sabres fan. Protect him at all cost!

And why even do the middle step. Why not trade Tuch for an established player if that’s the end goal?
It’s incredible I haven’t noticed these extremely condescending posts in the 23 years you’ve been here. You know you can post in this thread with attacking a fan base?
That does not mean a second contact/ try occurred. It was reported that the Tampa GM contacted the Buffalo GM over a month ago, and now recent tweet.
I think we would offer a lot, honestly. It would be an overpay of futures. We want the contract as much as the player. Next year could be a swing for the fences year. So, IMO, it would be any prospect ++. Judging by jbb's track record. Tuch is basically what we hope Geekie turns into.Since when did Tampa fans become this insufferable? There is no urgency to trade Tuch. If Tuch were on the market, Buffalo would be getting a much better return than the crap spewed by these Tampa fans.
I'm rational. My god, it’s a rational Sabres fan. Protect him at all cost!

I’m just saying that there is more than one way that value can be shown when considering trading for prospects/picks.
That’s all. And none of us know what Tuch’s intentions are regarding the Sabres organization. Do you think he’s thrilled with the way things are going?
Very possible. I don't think we have a legit blue chipper. But I think Geekie is a similar prospect to Tuch, and we would add to him. Wouldn't surprise me to see JBB completely empty the cupboard. Like the Jeannot trade, but with better pieces.I'm rational.
Buffalo has 3 UFA in summer players they can trade for picjs.
Tuch is not one of them
Tampa does not have the prospects to get him.
People calling is not the same as sabres shopping him. Big difference.
Buffalo wants a hockey trade not magic brans
From Tampa it likely involves Cirelli coming back
Just from a PR POV,,, he was the big piece for Eichel coming back. He is from syracuse area and gree up a sabres fan. Buffalo trades him for m.j magic beans there would be a PR backlash. If they wait till summer and find out hr dorsnt want to sign or asking insane money, then sabres will trade him
Buffalo is loaded in the prosprct/AHL pool. They dont need more.
In a few years things will be a bit different when they decide who yo invest in nbn and who to trade and then restock the futures pool.
Only reason to trade a guy as good as Tuch (and of that age) is because there’s concern the player will leave when they get to free agency. Snd Tuch loves it there. So this rumour makes no sense. He’s a guy the Sabres will extend this summer.I don’t think Tuch is off limits or unavailable, I could see him traded in a hockey trade. I don’t understand why we’d trade a non-ufa for future assets we don’t need
