Just curious what people would offer up for this package. Isles would be looking for a top 6 forward back preferably someone who can play RW. Would add a prospect or pick depending on who is being offered

IMO, the tough part of CDH is not that a lot of teams wouldn't want him, is that a team will need to not only only have 2 or 3 D worthy of keeping already on their team, but if they are already at 3 and need to go 8 skaters for expansion, does that mean they lose an important forward?

I'd love to add CDH to the Jets for instance (although we likely don't have a piece that the Isles would want that we would also be willing to trade I don't think). It's just that it gets very close to impossible to make it all work regarding expansion.

If Ryan Strome is included, I could see a bigger trade around Bozak being proposed by the Leafs.

Strome could be the Leafs next Bozak (hear me out) and could be our 2/3C of the future behind a combo of Matthews/Kadri/Nylander OR be moved over to the wing to fill out the top 6.

I think Strome's biggest issues are confidence and conditioning. His skating and positioning seem fine but he cant win puck battles and his acceleration is a bit under par. With a good offseason and picking on weak competition on the 3rd line I think he can be "rebuilt" into a legit #2C capable of 40+ points. I see him with Brown and Komarov as wingers, and Kadri's line being the shut down line.

CDH is just another prospect the Leafs could add to the glut on the back end. Not sure he would make the Leafs right now would be the bigger issue. I could see them putting him in the #6/7 spot and giving back Corrado.

Bozak+ Corrado for CDH+Strome+Mid round pick
or
JVR+Corrado+Mid round pick for CDH+MDC+Strome

CDH immediately in Leafs top 4 and a controlled RFA, Isles giving up too much here.

No way does CDH replace Reilly or Gardiner, and as a LHD means he is on the third pair.
Does he beat out both of Marincin, Hunwick? Im not too sure, he hasnt looked bad but also not great in the 5 or so times ive seen him this year. Average TOI is 18.4 minutes behind Leddy, Boy, Ham, Seids, and Hickey.

I like him, and think he can develop into a top 4 guy, but hes not there yet IMO.

My fellow Flames fans may hate it but what about Gaudreau for Hamonic and Strome? You get your top line winger for JT and we take a flyer on Strome and hope he pans out as top 6 winger, and we get a top 4 d man on great contract too. Not sure what else would need to be added but it could be fun discussion!

Please tell me you're joking? Like just please tell me you forgot the , cause I really respect you and most of your posts, but this? You lost so much respect from this Flames fan, Gaudreau was compared to Patrick Kane lite, and you'll trade a future Kane for a soon to be bust(seriously he needs 3rd/4th line competition, needs to get his game going) and Hamonic?(while we have 3 dmen worth protecting) if we go the 8 skaters(after your ridiculous trade) who are the 4 forwards you protect?

Leafs - Strome and De Haan, JF Berube or Greiss

Islanders - Bozak, Corrado, Leipsic, Valiev and a 4th in 2017

If it's Greiss then we take out the 4th and add Holland to make the salaries work
