Pretty disappointing he couldn't make the roster when we've got so many injuries. However one year can make a huge difference in a young player's development.

He's still 2-3 years away (which is normal). Still, everything will have to go right for him to replace Mitts in 2027-28.

To be fair he did *make* the roster, he Just didn’t stick.

We’ll see. He has the skills IMO, needs to up his energy level (I refuse to use the word “compete”) and willingness to get in the dirty areas of the ice.

He should be traded as soon as possible before his value tanks, to help with the current window. But sadly, that kind of move would require a competent GM.

Does this guy remind you of a young Kyle Wellwood?
If he has Wellwood’s hockey sense I’d be the thrilled. Welly was definitely not big, not fast, not fit, and not gritty, but he was a hella smart hockey player.

Unfortunately I don’t quite see it.

I still see a Wellwoodian impact. Even if the way they do it is different.
