It's hard not to say Quicks having a difficult series. To my mind he's given up about 4 maybe even 5 bad goals in two games.

Tough stuff.

Psychological warfare by the Blackhawks. They're getting on Quick's nerves, so that he'd be easier pickings by Game 7.

Also, I noticed he fell for another bait-and-switch back in Game 6 Period 3.

So. Damn. Punchable.

Looks like a full white version of Drake

Quick needs to stop trying to be a tough guy, and just do his job. Kopitar has to play his best offensive game sunday. Voynov and Mitchell can play better too. Maybe they should put Vey in the line up for Clifford also. Chicago has been playing like their for their life's, its time the kings up the intensity to a higher level.

Quick has done little to nothing in this series in terms of antics. because he gave Shaw a piece of his mind and bumped Crawford when he was mouthing off last night and that's it. Hell, it might be better for him to be physically engaged, look how it worked out before.

It's not even worth arguing with some people about it today.

Quick apparently is supposed to see this shot coming in and make that save.

I'm done. Honestly. Frustrating.

It's simple. People who don't play goalie don't get the effect that screens have on the game. It's why we see people say they 'screen' the goalie by standing off to the side and waive their stick. Chances of scoring go up exponentially with a good screen because at best the goalie will guess.

Or certain posters believe in X-ray vision

But two goals on three shots, bro. Obviously, he sucks.

I'm not saying the guy has been perfect by any means. You want him to be better right now, but complain when and where it is warranted. Shoot the Smith goal was WAY more egregious than those two that went in during the 3rd.

Lol I've seen plenty of times goalies make saves while being screened. If it was impossible there would be ten goal games in hockey every day. The excuse organization is out I see.

I'm not going to speak for the folks who are laying the whole game on Quick, but I will reiterate that he is part of the team and though those last two goals were practically unstoppable, and the first one was stoppable but unlikely, the Smith goal was eminently stoppable...just as the whole team wasn't 'bad' but rather 'not good enough,' Quick was in the same boat. 2012 Quick maybe stops that Kane shot and most certainly doesn't get fooled by Smith. That doesn't mean I hate Quick or that he's bad, but just like everyone else, he can and needs to be better.

But props where props are due as always, that 2-on-0 save was a game changer. He's done that a few times in this series.

Agreed. The two-on-zero save was un-****-ing-believable. One for the ages.

You mean those saves where they clearly don't even know the puck is there and it hits them? Goalies will get into a position and guess. Sometimes they are right but I've never heard anyone blame screens deflections or perfect shots on goalies.

Im not blaming the screens on him, that makes no sense. He didn't tell to stand there. He just couldn't guess any of them right. A lot of goalies guess and get it right mostly. Derp.

Thinking we need to throw KK in net for Game 7.

Quick'z had some great guesses too. Just not on those. Can't give a guy like Kane that room to work. They respected him too much.

This has been bugging me more than Quick's average play. How did they go from shutting down Kane in games 1-4, then all of a sudden they can't stop the guy? How has he all of a sudden gotten so much space to work with, especially the gwg. It just blows my mind.

Yep. I'd take Quick any day over the 29 other NHL starters without thinking twice about it.

People just need to wrap their heads around the fact that Chicago is really ****ing good at hockey. So are the Kings for that matter... Crawford's SV% this series is worse than Quick's.

Easy Saad and Shaw. Plus the defenseman are told to activate. They want to play high tempo. This is why your seeing high scoring games. Kings are playing their tempo and they are not used to it. You get into to that 30 - 40 sec mark and the D cannot keep up. Kane does not play much defense he floats and saves his energy for offense.

Qucik could have play better, but I can't blame him on the last two losses.
Anything is more on coaching. Below is my view.
For instance...
1) Last night, after we scored the 3rd goal, we should never be that aggressive. Knowing that the Hawks will be pushing hard and open up the game as they will be trying to tied it up. What we should have done is played steady like we did on game 3 and 4. Wait for a good Counter attack when there is a opening. Instead, the boys were too anxious and got burned.
2) Sutter couldn't figured out how to contain The 4 Letters line (Saad, Shaw & Kane). Since Shaw came back he brought some speed and grit as he open thing up for Kane. Another element on that line is Saad. The guys has skill plus too fast, big and strong for our D. The result is Voynov being out muscled and got eaten alive. They were creating good screen on every shots that went in (Except Smith's goal. That was all on Quick).
Anyway, in my opinion. I think Schultz would have been a better Dman in place of Voynov. We need a big and strong Dman with reach to boxed out those guys. Voynov is not the guy. We don't need him for his offensive talent from the Blue line. We already have Doughty, Muzzin and Martinez. That is plenty of puck carriers and firepower from our blue line.
Well, let's hope Quick and the boys will show up tomorrow.
GKG!!!

Is it me or do Chicago and Nashville seem to be Quick's kryptonite??? ESPECIALLY Chicago...

If we don't find a cure for Blackhawk fever tonight...we'll need to make a few deals for a cure...and pray that Quick gets over it as well...
