It's hard not to say Quicks having a difficult series. To my mind he's given up about 4 maybe even 5 bad goals in two games.
Tough stuff.
Tough stuff.
So. Damn. Punchable.

Quick needs to stop trying to be a tough guy, and just do his job. Kopitar has to play his best offensive game sunday. Voynov and Mitchell can play better too. Maybe they should put Vey in the line up for Clifford also. Chicago has been playing like their for their life's, its time the kings up the intensity to a higher level.
It's not even worth arguing with some people about it today.
Quick apparently is supposed to see this shot coming in and make that save.
and this one also
I'm done. Honestly. Frustrating.
it's simple. People who don't play goalie don't get the effect that screens have on the game. It's why we see people say they 'screen' the goalie by standing off to the side and waive their stick. Chances of scoring go up exponentially with a good screen because at best the goalie will guess.
Or certain posters believe in x-ray vision
I'm not going to speak for the folks who are laying the whole game on Quick, but I will reiterate that he is part of the team and though those last two goals were practically unstoppable, and the first one was stoppable but unlikely, the Smith goal was eminently stoppable...just as the whole team wasn't 'bad' but rather 'not good enough,' Quick was in the same boat. 2012 Quick maybe stops that Kane shot and most certainly doesn't get fooled by Smith. That doesn't mean I hate Quick or that he's bad, but just like everyone else, he can and needs to be better.
But props where props are due as always, that 2-on-0 save was a game changer. He's done that a few times in this series.

Lol I've seen plenty of times goalies make saves while being screened. If it was impossible there would be ten goal games in hockey every day. The excuse organization is out I see.
You mean those saves where they clearly don't even know the puck is there and it hits them? Goalies will get into a position and guess. Sometimes they are right but I've never heard anyone blame screens deflections or perfect shots on goalies.

Im not blaming the screens on him, that makes no sense. He didn't tell to stand there. He just couldn't guess any of them right. A lot of goalies guess and get it right mostly. Derp.
Quick'z had some great guesses too. Just not on those. Can't give a guy like Kane that room to work. They respected him too much.

But two goals on three shots, bro. Obviously, he sucks.
I'm not saying the guy has been perfect by any means. You want him to be better right now, but complain when and where it is warranted. Shoot the Smith goal was WAY more egregious than those two that went in during the 3rd.
This has been bugging me more than Quick's average play. How did they go from shutting down Kane in games 1-4, then all of a sudden they can't stop the guy? How has he all of a sudden gotten so much space to work with, especially the gwg. It just blows my mind.
Is it me or do Chicago and Nashville seem to be Quick's kryptonite??? ESPECIALLY Chicago...
If we don't find a cure for Blackhawk fever tonight...we'll need to make a few deals for a cure...and pray that Quick gets over it as well...
Sometimes a backup has better luck against certain teams than the starter... We just haven't found a sure fire Chicago owning goalie yet... Heck...we haven't had one since Storr...*generic Bernier post*
