He's been back for 13 games, almost as long as Laughton has been here. I haven't heard much discussion about the fact that he's getting absolutely caved in whenever he plays. At 5v5 he has 33.3% FF%, 33.9% xGF%, 45.4% GF%. He scored a nice goal in his third game back but has 0G 4A in the last 10GP. I guess he's skating by criticism with those assist totals but the FF/xGF numbers are the worst on the team and the GF% happens to be better than Laughton pretty much only from better goaltending.

What I really don't get is the reasoning behind putting Laughton, Domi and Jarnkrok together. I suppose if you put three of your most snakebitten/unlikely goalscorers together then if they actually manage to score someone is guaranteed to be bumping a slump?

I'm guessing that he came back too early from injury since that's a team-wide preference for some reason. If he's actually 100% and this is the new baseline, that's pretty grim.

He is making a solid contribution to the 3rd line being a complete black hole. Find a worse 3rd line on any playoff team.

He skates hard and fast but goes nowhere. LOL. What was Dubas thinking signing this playoff no show?
He had a really good first season with the Leafs but that was 3 years ago and he's 33 now. He is merely a space filler right now. Mind you, he has an even worse player on his line in Laughton. Much worse in fact.

Really, to get our best lineup, we go with Patches and Kampf and these two become injury fillers. Steeves has far more offensive upside and is younger.

If you want someone that won't be over awed by the moment - Jarnkrok. If you want a player capable of being a minus every game.. Laughton.

We know what Jarnkrok is. I'm still holding out hope for Laughton. He can't be as bad as he's been as a Leaf.

Ugh... I didn't realize he's been that bad.

It's not surprising since he missed most of the season. I'd take this guy at 100% in the regular season (he's vanilla AF but a decent 15 goal/35 point type of player with a decent all-around game), but it doesn't look like he's going to recover before the season ends and he's been a bad playoff player throughout his career.

Looks like the Leafs will badly need Laughton to raise his level of play and justify the trade.

He's a very Dubas type player

Exactly, Treliving would never acquire a player like Jarnkrok...

Some of you are so uninformed.

I believe in Jarkcroft, but not Luaghton

Funny enough, they are near opposites. (oppositives.<- Ya, I originally typed that... I'm not sure, but I think I created a new word... I'm not even sure what it means)

Jarnkrok's on Ice expected goals is 37.9%, while actual is 45%
Laughtons on Ice expected is 52%, while actual is 39%.

I think Steeves should have been given a shot here, he's likely better than either of these two.

He needs to go. Even if he was back to his regular self, he’s always useless in the playoffs. He’s got a place on some teams for sure, but not the leafs who have depth scoring trouble.

It’s so frustrating watch this guy play while contributing nothing while Robertson is stuck in the box. How much better would Robertson be if we actually played him consistently over the last two years?

Yarncrock does absolutely nothing. Can we please get someone else playing in his spot.

I'd rather Jarnkrok than Holmberg. Yeah, his playoff numbers aren't great, but he's generally reliable defensively at least and can grind a bit. He's had some pretty serious injuries so not sure how effective he still is but I'd still rather him in the lineup as he is a versatile player and more proven than other guys.
