A few teams are lining up to take a crack at Carlo. If it’s Calgary, don’t be surprised that Connor Zary is involved. If it’s Winnipeg, Cole Perfetti likely is involved.
Any other teams seem to be getting in line to find the quality defenceman like Carlo at that price tag. Teams are willing to pay.

That would be Ryan Ellis. What a forgettable NHL “career” he had.

Take a good look at the list of OHL defencemen who’ve topped 95+ points. They’re all trash.

Ellis had a pretty solid career as a top 4, fringe top pair guy before injuries took their toll on him. He was a huge part of that Nashville team that made the Cup final.

I did a double take when I read that too. Ellis was an excellent defenseman. Nothing to dismiss in the slightest.
