Vs Flames temporary

Didn't see one up,

How are we gonna go against the slumping Flames? I want to see what all the fuss with Giordano is, and some of the kids.

No worries, can just merge with Ron's when it's good to go. If he's indisposed for whatever reason I'll try to put something together this afternoon while (gulp) Christmas shopping.

Flames have lost a buttload of games lately but you know they're gonna get up for us of course, AND just like in years past they're just a PITA to play against--tenacious and don't quit. And Gio and Brodie have been absolute monsters, so I bet Drew goes full stupid tonight. I'm not super optimistic for this one because of the above factors, but I also wasn't for a 1PM start vs. Phoenix so maybe our usual traps aren't a big deal right now. This game is a pretty big deal in the standings so though Sutter doesn't usually care for these things maybe he'll circle it and say go take your points. Should be a good one either way!

It should be a good game. Glencross always seems to get a goal on us, I'm just glad Cammy moved, he was another player that always bit us in the ass.

Close in the standings- check
A few tough nuts - check
History with Sutter - Check

Should be a nice gritty contest! Hopefully Kopi goes beast mode again.

I wouldn't be suprised if the flames have circled it

That's what has me worried, it may be the most desperate team we've seen all season. Play hard anyway, desperately need the points to break their slump, and they're playing the champs on the road. If they just throw in their backup goalie we're ****ed.

I was hoping Calgary would have beat the nucks as they are due for a win. They are playing better hockey than their opponents but loosing lately.
and are due for a win

Thanks, I overslept this morning, but I should have it up before 11 a.m.

I usually try to get these up 24 hours in advance, if you need them earlier, just let me know.

Calgary's looked better the past few games and should have beat Vancouver if not for that terrible own goal. that said, LA's been better the past few games too, and we are the better team so as long as the boys bring their game and don't look past the Flames we should win. Calgary will be tough though.

And to the OP, Giordano is amazing. Almost invisible in a good way, just a rock on D and his offensive game has been a huge catalyst to the teams success.

Screw KCOP, now I'm going to have to spend another hour looking for a damn link.

KCOP again?

Dammit! Dammit, dammit, dammit! (said like the aliens from Robot Chicken)

This better not get WORSE if and when the baby Ducks come to San Diego, is all I can say (minor fume and grumble).

He does seem to be well regarded in the league, especially in the last couple of years, I just havent seen him play much. It'll be interesting to see how he responds to our boys heavy forcheck (if it gets going)

Gio is the real deal. I would say Norris winner so far this year. Him and Brodie are a great duo.
LA's wingers will have to watch for him when it's in LA's end for sure.

Fun stuff about Giordano from wikipedia:

In spite of his offensive success in junior, Giordano went unselected at the NHL Entry Draft. He accepted an invitation to attend the Phoenix Coyotes training camp where, according to then-Owen Sound General Manager Mike Futa, Giordano impressed team officials but believed that he would be best served by playing a second season in the OHL.[6] Giordano finished the 2003–04 season with 49 points.[7]

After graduating from junior hockey, Giordano enrolled in York University's school of business when he received a late invitation from the Calgary Flames to attend their summer camp.[1] Former Flames coach Jim Playfair recalled that Giordano stood out among the group of invitees and said that his skill and skating ability set him apart: "Darryl (Sutter) met with three or four of those kids and gave them all the same contracts: Three years in the American League, and if it works out for you, you've got a career. Gio took it and ran with it."[8] The Flames signed him to a contract following the camp.

It's like these guys know their stuff!

Calgary has the worst ****ing lettering by far in the league. Even worse than the Kings custom logo.

Stajan healthy scratched?
This season when huddler and Johnny H are given space they are deadly. Something the kings need to watch out for

Daily Faceoff isn't the most accurate or timely source for line combinations; he may indeed be back in the lineup for tonight's game. Unfortunately, this is the BEST source I have out there, save getting on Twitter, finding the Calgary reporters, and see if they update line combinations. Not every team does this; as a matter of fact, very few do, even our own Jon Rosen only updates some games and not others.

We will know for sure at game time.

If I hear anything being in Calgary and all, I will let you know
Pat Steinburg (works for the Fan 960) is saying Jooris is out with a wrist injury tonight and Ramo is starting
