Maybe he learns to actually play D someday, otherwise he's never going to sniff Karlsson level or even top-3D status.

He's basically Tyson Barrie 2.0, where some improvements were made to his stick in the D zone and his shot, but that's about it.

Well, I hope I'm wrong and I hope he ends up better than Barrie!!!

Still, I hope I'm right and he ends up at least as good as Barrie. :)

Man, those games for the U.of Mass are going to be incredibly interesting. Can't wait to see how he comes out of the gate. Big step difference between leagues...big step.

Yeah me as well.

It's the biggest thing that makes Karlsson the player that he is. And while I'm not expecting Makar to become Karlsson, I do think the similarities exist and with his IQ being the strong point to Makars game I do believe he has a very, very high ceiling.

I do have some concerns though, difficult to gauge IQ when you're so much older and better than your competition.

Well, he's stocky at least. He's only 5'11 but weighs in at 187. Heiskanen is 6'0 but weighs in at 172.
