Flyers(HeadLicehatty): mad since Michkov became like a 2nd liner who's a pp specialist.

Ottawa(Oscar the Grouch) : His team can only draft some bust like Tyler Boucher and Yarkemchuk.

Toronto(Drew4u and Orr): mad since 1967.

Hutson is going to get some Norris vote this year.

If you’re still giving these guys the time of day, jokes on you unfortunately

I mean it could be a lot of different guys, some were not even thinking. Schaefer could come in and blow everyone's tits off. I still think Leonard is one of the front runners. Parekh looked good in his limited run at the end of the season. Wallstedt or Askarov could vastly exceed expectations if they run with the job. Nikishin and Buium.

I think it'll be a big year for d-men.
Lots of good players on that list that *could surprise. If I had to bet on any of your suggestions I'd go Leonard because he's a forward and already looks good in NHL.

I don't see 18yr Schaefer putting up a season like Hutson for example. Parekh maybe because he's a bit older. Defence is probably the hardest position to play as a rookie, then center, & winger being the easiest.

I still think at this point in time, it's more than fair to suggest a 19yr old winger with already a pro season under his belt (which he dominated in) is the likely winner. There are less question marks & he's joining a team that already has good pieces around him in Suzuki, Caufield, Hutson, etc.

He doesn't do anything in the defensive or neutral zone. He only got pp points this year because he played with Laine and Caufield.

He's one of the smallest defenders in history. His chances of being an impact defencemen are almost zero.
This has to be a troll. Laine, seriously? What is this 2017?

The votes are out already. He finished 5th in voting for the Norris

I think demidov gets 50-60 points next year. Calder is certainly not a sure thing
I don't see any other rookies that are coming in who are as good and pro ready as this year's class was. It's really shit upcoming draft, no crazy D+1 or D+2 NCAA guys either. Parekh maybe. Demidov is coming in with a much weaker rookie class. There's Leonard but he's not doing much offensively so far and isn't a lock for a top 6 spot to start in Washington. Not a lot of guys who are going to step in with the same situation as Demidov with a free top 6/4 spot. I just don't see big immediate upside in any of the 2025 class either. Misa/Hagens in Boston uniquely might have the chance since they'll immediately get Pasta as a winger. Requires a Boston lottery win though. Hage was the best 2024 draft NCAA guy and he's not turning pro.

Michkov would have made it in his D+1 if no contract situation. Hutson could have turned pro last year too but team wanted to wait. So two top tier prospects debuted later as a result. Same thing doesn't seem to be happening next season. It would be like if Will Smith stayed an extra year to come in next season and Celebrini doing the same.

Demidov is the only high end talent. That doesn't mean he's a lock but there's not a multitude of elite guys debuting.

wow that's amazing news. 20 year old rookie dman didn't dominate in his first playoff games Players don't usually getting better after 20 years old do they?

The Habs should be waive him now I guess.....
Don't waive him for nothing , I'm sure my Jets would give ya a 5th for him . Maybe you could turn that 5th into Krill the Thrill . Just saying .

The same guy who was dominant 5v5 playing against top pairing dmen. lol right. Wasn't he top 3 in 5v5 offense after 4Nations in the entire NHL? Good try. Again, not a GM in the league would trade Michkov for Hutson, you can take that to the bank if you have one.

Everyone would take Hutson over poor skater Matvei.

I'm surprised you know what's been wrong means lol.

Every single thing I've said about Hutson is true, what isn't? Small and undersized, doesn't play defense, plays like a 4th forward, lost a playoff game single handedly blowing an assignment was -5 and exposed. Go ahead and detail where the lie is? Again, I never said the kid isn't offensively talented, he's just a liability in his own zone. You can say what you want about Michkov to cope, but you don't have a single player on your team as talented as him and you know it  If he's as bad as you say he is, why is your entire fanbase in his prospect thread 24/7 hahaha.

Michkov had the most ES points among all Rookies (and best ES scoring rate). Nice try though.

Hutson had the most ES points for a rookie dman ALL TIME. Nice try though.

Which is still less ES points than Michkov had this season. I was replying to a lie about Michkov being a PP specialist. I didnt say anything about Hutson. You Habs fans are like f***ing groupies.

No one is saying what you sad isn't true. They are saying that it doesn't matter. As a 20 y/o rookie his team made the playoffs and he was a big part of that. He is a rookie and will have flaws (like ALL rookies). The development will continue. His prime is 6-8 years from now. If The Habs can coach him to be even average defensively he will a Norris level dman for 15+ years.....

Was your boy Michkov not scratched several times this year for huge mistakes??

And as for you're statement about The Habs not having anyone as talented as Michkov. That's nonsense. I get you love your guy but Ill take Suzuki, Hutson and Demidov over Michkov.
