Calder Watch : 2024-25 Season

i understand most folks on here are older/east coast/canadians, but the truth must be told, regardless of whether the truth is inconvenient and/or uncomfortable to experience first hand on an obscure internet forum.

regarding the truth that celebrini -is- the calder favorite/de-facto winner aka victor,
"no, you simply lack the strength to wield the truth, your bodies would crumble as your minds collapsed into madness" appropriate video reference for the uninitiated and uncultured

here is the answer to the question you fail to even ask. for this truth challenges one's identity on a scale hitherto undreamt of:

CELEBRINI:

* the -kid- is ~2.5 years -younger- than hutson.
* has scored at a better PPG than hutson, on a worse team, sorry THE WORST team, a non-playoff team
* he plays a 200 foot game, wasn't there something about hutson being small and lacking in the important part of his actual position? oh, yes, defense, sorry
* oh, and he was the hobey baker winner while hutson was on the same team "that doesn't matter" it does, regardless of you saying/thinking/-clinging- to this.

there is more, but. we all know this pierces right to the core and can never be unheard again, nor can your mind ever return to the ridiculous notion that "muh hutson calder wannabe"
you opened and close with points that are 100% completely irrelevant to the Calder lol.

Nobodies arguing who’s going to be better in the future

Keep your dream alive. But remember this: it's still a dream.

OK so Celebrini is a better player than Hutson, I agree with that, but why is Hutson better on every metrics this year? Is it a fluke? Celebrini is supposed to be this 200ft wonder but he has less hits, less blocked shots, less takeaways, less everything. He doesn't even play on the pk.

If Hutson was a forward he would have more assists than Celebrini has points this year. 100 pts.

Sharks have scored 30 less goals then the Habs. Almost entirely due to trading off their producing players. Sharks top 9 is outscoring the habs top 9. Members of our top six are at 33 points, which would be 8th on the sharks.

Hutson is basically the difference between our teams goals scored. What the Habs are is significantly better defensively and in net. Sharks are just getting shit canned way too often. The Habs were just as bad as the sharks when primeau was in net.

It's an interesting narrative that celebrini has a weaker cast but it's not based on reality. Sharks forwards might actually be better than the Habs pre zetterlund trade.

But I'm sure next week Demidov will be the excuse with his staggering two likely regular season games.
Speaking of reality, time to inject some. Here's all the players ranked by points

Suzuki 89
Caulfield 70
Hutson 66

Celebrini 63
Eklund 58
Toffoli 54

Slafkovsky 51
Smith 45
Gallagher 38
Evans 36

Wennberg 35

There is literally no valid argument saying that Celebrini's supporting cast is better than Montreal's

There a Shark fan who claimed that Lane would not had made the Sharks this season.
Now that's a haha.
He wouldn’t have because Grier wouldn’t have brought him up during this season. It’s been explained ad nauseam to the point where if you don’t get that then the problem is 100% your unwillingness to understand.
