I didn’t call him small. Joe Thornton was significantly bigger and bigger players take longer to develop. Nowhere did I insult Celebrini.

You were arguably mocking me with “silly.” So I took a jab back even though I like Leo quite a bit and would have loved him on the Sharks. Perhaps, I worded it wrong but Celebrini’s early career calibre of potential is better than all our HOFers and it’s not close.

I’m aware it’s relative to Joe but Leo is also decently sized and larger than Celebrini.

It will be close (I was being unfair to Joe after the game) but Celebrini’s potential from his rookie season has many Sharks fans thinking he will surpass him. It took Joe 4-5 seasons to be slightly better than Celebrini’s rookie season and Joe wasn’t as defensively sound at this age.

Hutson wins the Calder for this year. There are a few offensive defensemen studs coming through the drafts over the years, almosts looks like a quarter of the teams gets a talented puck moving forward. in juniors coaches have started putting their best players on defense instead of center .

If any other rookie has to deal with this horseshit every night I'd be surprised they'd break 50 (I say that as Smith comes pretty darn close). And that's tonight's game. I want to be clear that there are 4 legit top 6ers on that line up, but that defense is unforgivably bad. Carlsson, Thompson, and Thrun are AHLers. Desharnais would barely make it as a 6 in this line up. Rutta's a 7. They can't move the puck worth a damn

Was wondering where all the trolls went lmao. Celebrini is a beast though, I think he'll be better than Jumbo in his prime and could be a top 3 C pretty easily.

Huston plays on the PP and first line with better players. It’s fair to say Celebrini would be near 70 points at this point in 66 games playing with the likes of Suzuki and Caulfield. Even Montreal’s defense san Huston is better than the Sharks. They had what like 76 points last season? Sharks are at 50 and won’t even hit 60.
