Calder Watch : 2024-25 Season

He has begun proving himself you are correct. But there's still a long way to go before he can be compared to Suzuki who is still improving and hasn't even hit his own ceiling yet.
You keep bringing up Suzuki like he is some great comparison or something. Suzuki is a fine player but he is already in his 6th full season and is going on 26 next season.

Celebrini and Suzuki will not be in the same tier in a few years. Celebrini has the potential to be a top 5 center and a top 10 player in this league. This is no hate towards Suzuki . Its just is what it is.

Isn't Suzuki #7 for centerman right now? Celebrini is no Crosby let's be honest. Some players take a bit longer to get into their strides, like Suzuki, 100 points isn't out of the question in his future. Celebrini still has a lot to prove before his name can be put in the same sentence as Suzuki's. You don't think Suzuki will reach the top 5 eventually? He will.
I hope you're right. My evaluation is Celebrini has a higher ceiling. Not a big deal.

It could very well be the case. But he still has to prove it. He might get injured, who knows how his career will go. Suzuki is proven and also a proven Iron man who is never injured or sick. Celebrini is an impressive rookie, but he still has a long way to go and a lot to prove to be compared to Suzuki.

I think you have it backwards. Celebrini has no problem being celebrated as a Top NHL player at the age of 18, and a reasonably possible All-Star at his position. Nick Suziki is a whatever 1C at age 25, with zip that stands out that merits including him in any dissussion of the NHLs best.

What? Lmao he’s 5th in scoring for centers, 13th overall 😂
