I think @Leafs87 is correct, and I hope @sIDEsHOW93 is on to something. Not only would it represent a positive trend in the way we're developing some of our draft picks and signings, but it would hopefully motivate the others on the Marlies to bear down and get 'er done. Knowing that there's the chance to move on up to the show...that's gotta light a spark under the ass.

It really is like deja vu a bit. Dubas took the GM reigns in 2018, they won the Calder Cup, and he got the big fish local boy signing in John Tavares.

Now Chayka takes the reigns, Marlies win the Calder Cup, and he gets the big fish local boy signing in Raddysh.
