I have no problem with the ESPN crew. I like Steve Levy and I'm not sure if that's AJ Mlescko or Hilary Knight on color but whoever it is is good.

Tampa had a decent chance of scoring right there IMO. And the call was borderline.

Not technically necessary, but he had lost his man and Tampa was swarming in our end at the very end of the period which as you know is our kryptonite.

Full disclosure i had the Caps feed last night. The ESPN crew isn't bad AJ's voice just isn't it. She knows what she is talking about but she's just hard to listen to. They haven't had Knight say a lot but I like her voice more.
All this being said I would take ESPN over Locker and whatever the other guys name on the Caps crew is. Like AJ they know their stuff and are pretty impartial ut their voices are so hard to listen to.

If they were calling all the marginal stuff I could go either way on the Cole call…. But they have swallowed the whistles on stuff both ways and definitely should have called at least 5 dives on Tampa…. So when it is that marginal, and given the time of the call? It’s just so distracting and the quality of officiating hurts the game…
