Tampa's odds of finishing Top 3 in the Atlantic increased tonight. That's a good thing.

They can hang 5v5, but Tampa's PP is capable of just torching them. Face them only if they have to (Eastern Conference Finals).

It would definitely be nice to not have to meet both the Panthers and Lightning.

he doubled back because he had to determine if it was worth playing 3v2.5 for a whole shift if he left his stick on the ice or 3v2 for an extra couple seconds while he retrieved his stick

Does this game count more than the first 2 for some reason? Obviously they beat us in the playoffs but both teams are very different from last year and that’s a small sample size (not to mention they’ve won back to back Cups so no one else in the league can claim the Bolts don’t “own them”). Not worried at all about meeting them in the playoffs. More worried about the Panthers

Obviously the boys were tired, so I'll take the point, but Tampa was spoon fed that game by the bush league refs. Dive leads to the game tying goal, and a super weak call for a PP in OT. It would be easier to let this crap go if the refs actually called the game similarly on Tampa. So sick of this crap, the refs will swollow their whistles in the playoffs just like the do in OT or the last few minutes of the period during the regular season... Just like they have all year for us right?

3 on 3 is a fickle mistress. I don't even think Staal sucking donkey dick at faceoffs would have stopped them in years past. This year, they do that and everything else wrong in OT. Just be glad it's only a regular season thing as bad as they are this year.

So Tampa couldn’t win on their own in a straight up match on skill and forechecking etc.

the league got what they wanted in that the refs altered the outcome of the game and did everything they possibly could to allow Tampa to win, as expected. The usual ticky tacky stuff called against us while the exact same things and worse let go on Tampa. Tampa allowed to maul our players, wrap them up, interfere, cross check, hold, take down, blind hit, every offense in the manual…

it will only get worse in the playoffs I’m sure…. If that is how it has to be, I don’t want to be a fan of that game…. This isn’t the clutch and grab era…. This is worse…. This is the “let them run our players and call it a legal pick” era…

I had a notepad beside me and I was making tick marks for every time I saw a penalty not called.,, we were due a looooooot more calls….

Canes were on a B2B, after a very physical game against WSH and lost a valuable player in KK. I wasn't even expecting a point. OT is about FOs which apparently we suck at recently. Had we won, this could have been another 2 pts. Both teams had some shitty lapses which lead to chances and goals. Shit happens. Still 2-1-0 against them.

They got 5 of 6 points with a +9 goal differential in those 3 games.

They are good.

We didn't have our best game. I wouldn't call it letting them win. We led 3 different times, but they were obviously gassed. Not great, but it's been a rough stretch here lately.
