I don’t watch too many post game pressers but Rod seemed super pissed in this one.
Yeah, I don't think the hit was really dirty per se, but to make that kind of hit at all with 2 seconds to go in a blowout game? Just an aboslute dick move and something that really goes against the code of respect that Rod played by and instills in this team.

It's the Caps. Going against the code has been their MO for a long time now and with their stars past their prime and on the decline they have some tough culture adjustment years ahead.

GOOD THING TO WAKE UP TO IN TERMS OF RESULT.

IN TERMS OF ELLER. I’LL JUST SAY IT.
HOPE YE GET INJURED FOR AS LONG AS KOTKANIEMI.

And yes I am completely unapologetic about wishing injury upon a player. I do hope he gets better. Eventually.
Koko is ded so you know what the means Lars

Smith had no reason to drop the gloves there other than to show he'll do anything to stay in the lineup.

Wilson feels good getting to be a bully again.
Looking back at it I'm hoping his reasoning was more "I'll fight to make sure this meathead doesn't decapitate someone if I don't" as opposed to thinking he needed to fight to stay in the lineup.
