Obv I LOVE the Protas talk on here. Like @HTFN , I’ve been a card carrying “Protas guy” since I first saw him play.
Hell, last year — and in a bit of a drunken stupor — I made the “nutso” claim that he would become a point per game player (80pts, right @PlushMinus?
).
I scaled that back to 60pts — however I don’t think any of that is outlandish. He’s becoming what I thought he’d become. A play making winger with amazing vision and hockey IQ and a body that would allow him to “own the puck” when he gets it — and can steal pucks so quickly.
Dude is gonna me an absolute menace if he can stay healthy — OH and his younger brother (with better hand maybe?) is coming along as well.
