I wanna continue rooting for Dallas, but I got a good buddy who's a fair-weather hockey fan who doesn't really know the sport and he keeps telling me Oettinger is what's holding back Dallas and that he's the worst goalie in hockey, so he makes it real difficult.

Between the bolds, if he said the past playoff struggles of Otter are bad then I would've agreed with him somewhat. But I don't think it pertain to this year or the Game 7 Flames year, the Avs are just a machine and the Stars are slowly starting to run out of gas.

But the storyline is so much better if Rantanen scores the winner in OT, isn’t it?
Game sevens are the best. But add in the Rantanen story and this is special.

Oh I indulge him with shrug emojis. Believe me I tried, especially as someone (and he knows this) who played nets throughout his teens. He's also someone who doesn't think his football team ever loses a game, they're just rigged by the league. It's exhausting to be honest.

Meh Duchene did that and it was a nothing burger. Obv Mikko is fresher, but he isnt hated in COL. I bet most Avs fans will be happy with his success, but not the Stars if that makes sense.
